History

691° Medienproduktion has been founded in early summer 2002 by Andreas Zerr. The intention was to offer professional services, trainings and consulting for the film- and video-industry. Andreas, who worked for Apple Germany as Product Manager Software previousely, started off with very little equipment and, honestly, not too much experience in video editing. In the first year the main income was writing reviews for magazines as well as smaller production jobs like attract loops, logo animations and editing privately funded movies like "Das Musikill".

In summer 2003, Andreas met producer/director Michael Schmidt and edited the documentary "Juist" for German TV-channel NDR to be broadcasted nation-wide with more than 1,4 mio viewers (19,3% market share).

History

Only weeks later, Andreas was offered to edit the documentary "Und jetzt, Isreal?", a feature in two parts, hosted by German actress Iris Berben. The movie premiered in the cinema Paris, Berlin, with a broad audition of celebries, including Berlin major Klaus Wowereit, the Israelian Consul, producer Bernd Eichinger, and many more. The TV-feature aired during easter-holiday 2004 and became a widely acknowledged success.

In February 2004 Andreas became senior editor at the production company Rebel Media Ltd. in Hamburg, responsable for editing/producing the weekly shows "Stoke" for German sports channel DSF, and RebelTV, a 26 min show for international distribution. At Rebel Media Andreas produced several commercials, including "Spiderman 2" and "Suzuki Liana", as well as image-campaigns and event-coverages like Rock am Ring, mostly for their major client Suzuki Automobile.

Complete Filmography (German only)

While working mainly for Rebel Media, Andreas took time-outs every once in a while to work for other companies, ie. Parkfilm, editing misc documentaries for ARTE, RBB and WDR, as well as producing DVDs and motion graphics.

In October 2005 Andreas left Rebel Media as senior editor/producer to focus on own productions, still working on frequent basis for the Rebel marketing department.

In January 2006, Andreas and a couple of friends produced their first shortfilm "Checkmate" for the webcontest of BMW-Mini. While editing misc TV-documentaries and commercial videos throughout the year, Andreas got more into motion graphics for DVD-productions. In April, he produced the motion menu and bridges for the very first commercial HD-DVD ever produced in Germany, the "Geist of Mae Nak". In May 2006, our first, very own documentary took place in Bali, Indonesia, shooting for approx. four weeks and edit it thru September the same year. This feature will be one of the first non-fiction HD-DVD ever produced in Europe.
